Teaching award for Judith Beyer
Judith Beyer, who holds the professorship of Social and Political Anthropology at the University of Konstanz, receives this year’s Tina-Ulmer-Teaching-Award that honours outstanding merits and innovative achievements in teaching. In the last years, Beyer led research projects that were accomplished by students of Anthropology and Sociology in the city of Konstanz. Furthermore, she realized an interactive workshop, where students and stateless people jointly could discuss the topic of statelessness. The event was supported financially through the Teaching-Innovation-Fund of the University of Konstanz.

Beyer combines her courses with insight from her research topics and thereby imparts students’ insights into research practices and processes of anthropological data collection. “I am pleased to receive this award;, it means a lot to me personally”, the scholar declares. “I also see it as an award for Anthropology as a ‘small subject’ here at the University of Konstanz.”
